Below is an image of the pedestrian/cyclist footbridge which is now in place, hanging out over the railway line alongside the foootbridge. Following the cyclist assault incident last week, note the cycle barriers.

Emina. I am going to pass on Maggie's point about cars not being clear about what they can and cannot do from Warham Road to Peter Boddy and Mahmood Ramjam in the Highways team. I suspect I am not the first to do so, so I expect this needs a little pushing. Could you please follow this up too try to resolve this.
Just for information, I was away for the last two weeks, but I have been out and about for the last two days and seen slugs of 3-4 vehicles coming down Pemberton every 2 minutes. The Warham lights are timed to allow 3-4 vehicles through every couple of minutes so this is clearly not the odd uninformed driver.
Thanks Justin, but its not a case of where cars go to after Warham Road, but stopping them getting onto Warham and then Wightman /Pemberton in the first place, (as a big lorry goes over a bump outside followed by several cars). Can you pass the following onto the Highways team for me please.
Warham has the most traffic of any of the ladder rung roads as it is a major conduit from East London through St Anns Road to Wightman Road and then all points North and South. It is seen by many as a through road not a residential road (with a third of the traffic speeding), but it seems the council have not taken this seriously when putting out warning signs for the road works as there is nothing to tell these cars from the east that there is no way through and better still nothing to give them another route in good time.
From the stats that Michael posted it seems that Warham has 17,963 vehicles that week, as apposed to Seymour Road the adjacent road on the north of Warham (which is also runs the same direction as Warham that is east to west) which has 3,386. Pemberton which is the adjacent road to the south of Warham and which runs in the other direction (west to east) has 11,728 vehicles. So however you look at it Warham receives a lot of through traffic that then gets dumped on Wightman and nothing to tell these drivers that there has been a change in route.
Its a short term problem needing signage and a long term problem needing a wholistic remedy.
Maggie. I have been in touch, but no response yet- I know, its been less than 24 hours... Will let you know if and when they get back to me
At the bottom of Warham on Green Lanes, there's a big yellow sign facing northbound traffic. It directs 'Diverted Traffic' to continue straight on. It would be much more use set at the top of Salisbury/bottom Warham directing traffic to turn left. It's one of those signs where the arrow rotates.
Now if someone were to move that sign to a moe useful position, I'm sure it would be perceived as helpful......
I'm sure the Harringay night ops team have seen your call for help(fulness).
Maggie, I think the gap between Warham and Seymour is actually wider than that, Seymour has three thousand something.
Hugh, wider than..."From the stats that Michael posted it seems that Warham has 17,963 vehicles that week, as apposed to Seymour Road the adjacent road on the north of Warham (which is also runs the same direction as Warham that is east to west) which has 3,386."
Sorry, I misread your last post. I thought you'd written that Seymour had 11 thousand something. In fact that, quite correctly applied to Pemberton. That's what comes of reading on the hop on a mobile!
My Mrs and children were almost hit by a motorcyclist as he zoom up the footpath to the bridge without stopping or dismounting. He was later seen to be pushing is bike back... Please can we have the restrictions at the start of each reduced space section to force people to dismount. Cyclist still can and do ride up to the barrier and then dismount. Then get on the other side.
