"what has socialism done for us" for me the biggie is the idea itself that we are not born equally and that we should be able to share the worlds wealth and resources.
However... "what has socialism ever done for us"
the NHS, and I raise you with child benefits...
Knavel it wasn't Farage, it was Dan Hannan. Read this and weep.
Or this guy: Arron Banks
Interesting.. 18 - 24 is the inverse of 65 +for the big two, with the turnout of the younger group being around 55 % of that for the 65 +..
The oppostion must get into schools / universities / clubs and pubs.. and haul out a few yout' spokespeople, Rock Against Isolationism ? Grime against Greed ? Rap against Russian Oligarchs ?
Perhaps not - but hopefully someone will come up with something to address this very clear divide.

The opposition should have got into my school and perhaps I'd gave been able to spell it !
No-one needs to schlep to the polling station, anyone can have a postal vote, you don't need a reason/excuse. You do need an address where the papers can be sent.
I've been postal voting since the days when I was working 9am to 9pm, I like to be able to peruse the papers at leisure too.
If you're away at University studying for exams and ask your parents to register for you and arrange for a postal vote, what's wrong with that?
Wouldn't that be wide-open to abuse ? They might as well vote for you too.
