Sorry to hear. I think the planning of this construction site is not right. I'm still questioning the duration of this closure given the size of the bridge. If they threw serious personnel on it this could be done in a few weeks. Also given that most of the work is don't underneath the bridge at this point I don't see why they can't leave it open during that time and only close it once they are about to take it down.

We are all backseat drivers in this matter as this car is driven by the Council. So I can sit here and just accept the situation or express my thoughts and concerns. The fact is this closure is creating a huge disturbance and mounting economic costs (lost business to local taxi companies, builders etc sitting in traffic rather than being on site etc), not to mention the pollution on Green Lanes which is probably as bad as Oxford Street by now. So I'm missing a discussion around alternatives to the current situation to reduce the impact on this area and its ppl which has to include the project itself and its duration. We should encourage questions and not dismiss them only because they are coming from the back of the car.
