Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

They were also not panicking by blocking both the north and southbound lanes of Green Lanes at the entrance to the Arena and not panicking by siting in their stationary cars using up the petrol they were not panicking about.

Just had a clip of the queues to get petrol at the Arena on BBC London news. Queuing for hours apparently.

thank you for the good news that ambulances and fire engines are ok

They're not panicking again today - Sainsbury's must still have petrol as there is gridlock on GL in both directions up to the Arena. Pity anyone trying to get anywhere by bus!

I was on the 341 yesterday and we were stuck for ages just before Sainsburys. There was a police car at the petrol station and some guys in high vis jackets. Don't envy them that job.

Any you think we have problems panicking over petrol, look what is coming next.

...and three hours later the queue was still there causing disruption back to the Broadway and beyond, ensnarling buses and other vehicles. Some bus drivers moved to the wrong side of the road just to make some headway.

Same location late morning today, the W5 bus took 40 mins to travel from the clock tower to the bus stop outside that garage.

In & out of Arena petrol station at 1pm today in 20 mins. No problems.

what and where is 'arena' petrol station ?

Next to Sainsbury’s

ah ok cheers michael. does that mean it's still open for petrol or diesel ?

Afraid I don’t know as I don’t have a vehicle.
