Yup, a few hundred meters from Turnpike Lane station.  I too haven’t seen or heard a hedgehog for many years.  Hopefully a sign of a comeback?

Excellent news!!

Wonderful!!! Yes hopefully a comeback.

Me too!

We had someone visit our allotment (near Highgate) with night vision cameras to see if we had any hedgehogs but no luck. They did find a few in Queenswood; but a hedgehog near Turnpike lane is amazing.

That's so good to see! Please could Andy & his neighbours put some saucers of water in the garden for it. Also, there's so few hedgehogs left here that London Wildlife Trust are monitoring their distribution. It would be good if you or your friend could complete this survey about it https://www.wildlondon.org.uk/hedgehog

I’ll ask him to do both those things

... what did the pussycat have to say about it...

I’ll be interviewing the cat in question a little later  He does have a rather laid back attitude to stuff though

He’s does occasionally change location

We used to have one visit our garden in Burgoyne road regularly, but that was about twenty years ago. Since then I've only seen one and it was flattened on the road. Perhaps they all migrated to Scotland, where South Uist is overflowing with them.

Hedgehogs. Why can't they just share the hedge?
