I'm sorry you're suffering from issues when using the site. I am nagging Ning, but they're being crap. 

What doesn't make sense is that only some people are affected. I can view pictures on all browsers but can't upload them in Safari (and haven't been able to for six months!).

Since you reference OSX, I assume you work on a Mac. That means that you probably don't have a virus checker or firewall Is that correct?
