This is the new Hochima Viet restaurant that has replaced the previous 'chinese' noodle restaurant - same family but now true to origins. Look at what they have uncovered under the sign whilst awaiting the new signage!

It seems like W Andrews was a pork butcher. Due to incompleteness of records, the only dates I can place him there are between 1922 and 1926. He was probably there somewhat earlier and later.
Kelly's 1922
I have been able to find the earlier occupant between at least 1903 to 1915.
Tottenham and Edmonton Weekly Herald - 20 November 1903
Thanks.
I also submitted a pix showing a close up of where the lettering was previously cut out leaving the numerals, supposedly to change the trading name.
Let's hope that Hochima installs a sympathetic sign - this is in the Clyde Circus Conservation Area and Myers at no. 190 across Dongola Rd is due to get a sympathetic makeover if their scheme gets planning permsission.
Perhaps the original sign was put up by Wieland and adapted by Andrews.

Thanks. Have you seen the better pix in the Facebook link?
What a difference the sunshine and blue sky make.
I really hope that Hochima does this sign 'justice'.
They could put the branding for the restaurant on the security shutter thingamajig under the historic sign! Such wishful thinking....
