Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone on HoL been affected by the diversion of the W3 bus during recent events in Alexandra Palace?  Apart from the Fireworks Festival (much longer this year), it was diverted for almost 3 days at the end of October between Lordship Lane N22 and Middle Lane N8 - with very little prior warning about it, and no notices on bus stops to warn people that it was not stopping there. I think it makes a mockery of a bus service if people cannot rely on it - and up to now the W3 has provided an excellent service. There's a discussion going on at the moment on Alexandra Park Neighbours website about it.

This recent thread referred to it, though mostly towards the Council's and Palace's actions rather than London Buses:

Thanks, Gordon, yes I meant to mention that discussion. It is mostly concerned with inadequate and unsafe signage for diverted traffic while the road was closed, but also touching on other matters. My concern was indeed more with the Palace's actions than with London buses - the issue will get more urgent because the Palace is intending to increase the number of events in the Park, and for some of these, they propose closing the road.

They should never have abandoned the railway to Alexandra Palace. Maybe it's not too late to give the route of Crossrail 2 a bit of a re-think when it reaches the area.
