Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

.. Is a solicitor's firm, ostensibly of the ambulance-chasing variety, is setting up shop in the empty building opposite the pub and has garishly adorned its frontage thus...

Surely this needs planning permission on account of its size and prominence? And surely the council will take action? ..

One thing is beyond doubt - this sign is a provocative eyesore. If it stays we can surely all agree the piazza dream is dead...

The latest development virtually caused my jaw to drop when I saw it last night.
Having sought - and been refused - permission for big advertising screens at each corner of the building, the solicitors have now set up huge TV screens facing the road showing promotional videos through the night! So even my original complaint is now inadequate..

On the big granite blocks - for some reason I just got a Google alert for the following tweet from the Harringay Traders Assoc, posted on July 4th:

Ah! So they are planters.

Funny, they looked like they were something that had been dumped when we walked past the other day. Funny looking lumps... Were they on the original plans?

Agreed, we were very confused :)
