Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi everyone,

Sunday 20 July 2014 will be our last Sunday market day at our current venue, South Harringay School on Mattison Road.
This means that we are looking for another suitable venue in Harringay, and we have 7 weeks left to find one.

We have been open for almost two years, and I'd hate to close the market.
Therefore I am asking everyone's help with looking for a new venue for Harringay Market.

I know most of the local politicians frequently come to the market too, and I hope they can also help us with a solution.

Thanks in advance.

Why? As I understand it you pay £170 a week to the school for use of the grounds. Given how often you're open this is about £8500 a year.

Yes, what is the skinny?

And I thought the schools were so hard up they had to sell their souls to the estate agents ?

How can they then turn down Jessica's money which pays for a facility enjoyed by so many of the residents ?

Come back to North Harringay?

A lot more people in your target market have moved up this way since you left.

I'll second that. It would be great to have it back at NHP.

Another vote for North Harringay, please come back :)
That's such a shame Jessica. The Market is even on Google maps!

I have no idea if it is at all possible but what about Ducketts Common or West Green? Would get a lot more passing trade.

Duckett's Common hosts a fight outside the "church" most Sundays.

Hey, local atmosphere!

This isn't even slightly helpful, but I was just looking on Google maps to see if it would jog my mind into thinking of any good spots and I noticed that the internal layout of the Homebase store is on there.  Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any labelling of the aisles, though, so you can't really preplan visits in the unfortunate event you need to go there...

I was wondering if there is somewhere in the "warehouse district" that would work?

Im with Michael. Ducketts Common is the idea venue.

The Hawes and Curtis idea is really good. The market would be visible from passing traffic (on foot and wheels)
