Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just had Ray of Lordship Joiners come round to look at a piece of work I need doing and he told me about having discussed doing some work for a previous owner of my house. As an aside he mentioned that at the time he was here last there was a Ray Winstone film being shot right outside the house.

So, I had a quick sqiz to find it and here it is.... Face, 1997. All sorts of name you would know in there. I managed to have a look on Youtube and found this clip (3mins) of the shootout scene on Mattison, Pemberton and possibly Warham. I will have to try to find the full film. Great shots of the street while it was 2 way traffic... Enjoy!

He also said Alexi Sayle shot something round here (bottom of Pemberton) at some point, any clues what it was?

Cheers Justin. I'll try and get down on Friday.

Hello, yes very happy to screen this at one of the FilmExposed film nights at the Salisbury. Will look into the screening rights; keep you posted.

Thanks! M

Cool. I just realised I cannot get out on Friday- my wife is out, so glad Sandi came back on this- Sandi, I assume you work/run the Salisbury?

Hello Justin, I run the FilmExposed Film Night at the Salisbury every other Sunday. We return in September and I'm happy to report that we will be screening Face! Details, dates etc to follow. You can also find us on FB here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2367133860/
Cool. If you can post back on HOL, or here when you have dates. I am not a massive user of Face Tube- it's awful, especially as my wife is a socialmedia specialist and consultant!

Just posted a short clip of Ducketts Common featured in an episode of The Professionals *here*

Have also been sent a pdf list of 1974-2010 Haringey tv and film locations, see attached doc below.

I watched them filming a car crash scene in Face in Allison Road while I was on maternity leave. Very exciting!

The director of this has sadly just died :(
