Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Plant thieves strike at South Harringay Infant School

Over the last weeks we've had a few reports of people losing plants from window boxes and front gardens and now plant thieves have taken honeysuckle from the new planters at South Harringay Infants by the fence in the Harringay Passage.

Children and parents have put a lot of effort into fundraising to green the tarmac and metal infrastructure of the school and the latest part of the project is small narrow planters to plant creepers and flowers creating a green fence around the areas nearest the Passage.

Sadly, someone has pulled up the honeysuckle. Hopefully, they'll see this message from the pupils but I wonder if someone who is prepared to steal from an infant school is going to be moved by such an appeal.

Let's hope so.

Is nothing sacred?

what absolute ********!

Does the little ole lady strike again Liz ...

Matt, I really wouldn't be surprised. Her or 'the dogwalker' bloke...

Plant nettles.

Hmm, think that might be asking for trouble in an infant school playground.

Arrrgghhhhhh ... Very sorry to hear this, unbloodybelievable.

This is really sad - maybe some of the fellow gardeners in the area with honeysuckle can spare some seedlings?

I have some holly hocks that are due to go into the ground that I could offer as a temp replacement for the summer... Is it Tess who does the gardening at the Infants?
