cyprus cars are very good i have been using them for about 15years and have never had any problems

I always use Capital Cars. Used them faithfully for 8 or so years, especially for getting to Paddington for Heathrow train. 020 7272 2612

Hi Lizzy - what was wrong with Harringay cars? We use them quite a bit. On the one occasion I did have an issue with a fare they dealt with it fairly and professionally so would be happy to recommend them.

I have always used Golden Cars (on Green Lanes near junction with Arena shopping centre, next to Beaconsfield pub. Used them for around 10 years now and can't say they have ever let me down. They are very handy for the Gardens, where I live.

I'm with Ruth, Golden Cars are great, use them every time i need a cab, and never lets me down. There's the odd smelly driver, but I guess that's part of booking a mincab..

Lizzy - was it this old thread you're referring to? I've added a note on the anti Harringay Cars comments to draw attention to the fact the the balance of votes on that thread and this is in favour of the firm - score so far 5-2 in favour. (I've also linked the threads via a tag and listed taxis on the trades and services page (visit the page via the link at the top of the right hand column).

Thanks Hugh, I admit it I didn't look at it in enough detail and felt as it was a couple of years old the information may be out of date (hense starting a new thread.) I will look again and consider Harringay cars, although on Monday we used Cyprus cars (on the above recommendation) and they were great, so I will propably use them from now on. I guess I am wary as when I booked a taxi a couple of months ago (Crouch End Cars) for a really important antenatal appointment, they were so late I nearly lost the appointment and when they turned up they were rude. Even if its just a one off, a bad taxi experience is very offputting.

I've said this before but I I'll say it again, we love HOL, so useful. I put up this thread late Sunday night and got responses almost straight away. Really helpful, thanks neighbours.

You shouldn't go far wrong with Kypros - have used them for many years.
