New Awards Launched For Green Champions

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to protect and nurture our green spaces? Or perhaps someone who inspires the next generation of environmentalists?

To mark the centenary of the death of social reformer Octavia Hill, The National Trust and BBC Countryfile have launched some new awards to celebrate the UK’s green champions.

The Octavia Hill awards comprise five categories, including Growing Hero, Inspirational Hero and Green Space Guardians. You can find out more here.

The closing date for entries is 31 January and the winners will be profiled in BBC Countryfile Magazine.
