Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi, I recently moved into Beresford Road and am surprised to hear train rumble noises - which I didn't notice when I viewed the flat. They are very frequent, so am thinking these are tube trains. Is not a big problem and I will probably get used to it.
Do you notice them, have you got used to them, and do you think it is tube or overground trains?

Thanks for all the contributions everyone, especially the 7/7 memories from Ruth, which I found very moving and reassuring too.
Freight trains? Why, they're quite pastoral.......;o)

I've lived in the area for 4 years and never noticed the rumbling tube trains right under my feet until a friend who visited from outside London was driven nuts by them. They are every 2 mins and yes they are tubes - the picaddilly line runs right up Green Lanes from Manor House to Turnpike Lane. Don't worry, after a while you won't notice them - I also lived right next door to a chiming cathedral and never even heard it.
Cheers Sophie. I moved in at the end of July and yes definitely noticing the rumbles less now.
I can hear the tube really clearly when lying on the floor! It's definitely the tube as it sounds just the same, and at the right frequency and length - strange to think of all those people underneath the house (or thereabouts). I can also hear the trains (whilst upright) though never sure if it is Green Lanes or the main line. We're at the bottom end of Cavendish.
I still find the tubes a comforting sound somehow! The last ones indicate its time for me to be asleep and the first ones, well, a bit too early to get up, roll over and have another hour or so.... It's the pattern of city life here below our houses. But I always get annoyed by police helicopters... a different noise and definitely a nuisance!
