LondonNet reports that Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea applied and won permission from the government to bring in total bans on boards in 23 Conservation Areas, stretching from Olympia to Fulham.

While this kind of action by Haringey council may not help the Ladder side of Green Lanes as we are not a conservation area, such an action would be useful to St Ann's, Noel Park (and, of course, others) and prevent the kind of ugly bunching of signs such as can be currently seen on the corner of Warwick Gardens at the flats.
Just one niggling doubt though. If estate agents are prevented from 'boarding' in the areas with the red lines around them, would they then increase them in non-conservation areas?
