Hello
Sorry this is an exceptionally boring discussion but I've only recently moved onto the Ladder. And several times a week, we are finding people dumping their stuff in our front patio area by the bins. They are particularly dumping building debris that the binmen won't remove or bulky things like old carpets. All our bins have now been stolen and replaced by broken ones without lids too.
We have been having a bit of building work done so I'm not sure if people just think we'll throw away their own building debris for them or they don't realise anyone has moved in as due to people dumping stuff, the outside area does always look very messy. But it's really starting to get on my nerves as every time we shift one lot of broken wood or carpet, another lot appears. Because it takes a while for the council to come and remove it, people just add to it.
I know this isn't a big issue and I do see how dull it is but I just wondered if anyone else suffered from this problem on the Ladder. I just can't face ringing the council again and asking them to remove this stuff (as they must now think we are just trying to get rid of our old stuff on a weekly basis).
Any idea what I can do to discourage this? (Short of getting the council around again to shift this stuff, buying loads of pot-plants for the front to make it look more lived in and getting the foliage home from Homebase before anyone dumps anything again.)
Thanks!
