Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

i'm interested in the idea of mental health mapping. anyone know any examples?

as a quick guess, a map of Harringey would show neurosis in the west and psychosis in the east.

not sure about the Ladder :)

Devise an online confidential self assessment form and get us all to fill it out for you. Any Psychologists out there willing to have a go? Then we could have our own Gross Local Happiness Indicator like in Bhutan.
nice simple idea. Maybe hugh should add this to the networked neighbourhoods research
Schizophrenia, of course.
you nailed it :)
I did psychometrics in my psychology degree and worked with questionaires in assessing GPs performance in dealing with mental health in the 1990's. I am not a clinical psychologist and for the last 12 years I have been doing something completely different (painting and decorating).

It's a fascinating idea, but there must be some research/briefing documents etc., that the local mental health trust would have? -this would give some basis for honing down the 'scale' of such a map e.g. whether it is a broad brush stroke as your 'quick guess' of differences between the east and west of the borough. Such a project might be of interest to local mental health statutory and voluntary people. It potentially could be a massive time consumer!
The links between mental ill health and social deprivation/social class are pretty well established - so I'm afraid the East would win hands down in both categories.

A question on the numbers of people in psychotherapy would perhaps give you a different finding, however.
