Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Getting safety warnings for this webiste? Don't worry everything is safe

Some HoL users are getting warnings about the site's safety certificate when they try and visit the site.  I'm adding this note to reassure you that the site is fully safety-compliant and has an up-to-date safety certificate, verified independently of the website.

There are two ways you can check this for yourself:

1. Click the padlock in the address line in your browser bar.

2. Visit www.ssltrust.co.uk/ssl-tools/website-security-check

When do this you'll see the following about HoL:

All the safety checks pass (shown on the left). The 'unable to resolve’ issue on the right is a complex technical issue about how websites are configured to make sure that they are found whether it’s url is entered with www. at the beginning or without. There's some administrative issue about how the safety certificate is handling this resolution, But safety is not at all compromised.

In short, Harringay Online is completely safe as it has been since 2007. When you get the warning, you can just choose to ignore it and visit the website anyway.

Thanks.  That's good to know.

It's been happening for years when I look at HoL on my (oldish) Android phone. Thanks for the reassurance.
