Great news - though I'm sure Joanna Lumley is crying into her scented pillows. Such a ridiculous waste of money, just another Boris vanity project.

Phew! - a man with some COMMON SENSE at last! I love gardens I love bridges. i love Mr Heatherwick's designs but this garden-bridge project was unnecessary and unaffordable from the very start. Sadiq Khan has smelt the whiff of ... well not roses that is and taken proper action.

Though I don't like to think of Joanna crying, (I think she has broad shoulders anyway,) & certainly knows how to bring attention to a project or cause with a degree of passion, shame a vision got so complicated and expensive to realise.
