As mentioned over on the GL area traffic study thread it would be interesting to gauge the level of support for the four alternative packages of changes that are being proposed for the Ladder.
So take the straw poll - here - its very short so wont take long to answer.

If that's for me Antoinette, I would love to give up my own car. But I'm not going to do it unilaterally. And not while the cretins round here keep dumping rubbish in front of my home that I have to take to the dump because they are too lazy to do it themselves.
My point is that Haringey or, better, the national government should introduce radical measures to force people to cut down on car usage ( see my suggestions on rationing fuel ). These measures would apply to everybody, not just " other people ".
Well done Antoinette. You obviously are not one of the people choking the Ladder streets. Cutting down on traffic is not the same as giving up a car. Cutting down on usage ( which is what you have already done ) is what I'm after. I apologise if that was not clear.
Antoinette, your argument might be a bit stronger if traffic on Wightman was cars full of kids heading for a drive-in safari, but the majority is single-occupant drivers, who are sadly not as public-spirited as yourself in curtailing their car journeys to an absolute minimum.
Hence the need for physical barriers to force them either to use the A-roads or use alternative modes.
You're a thoughtful car user Antionette. I wish there were more like you. It would really make a difference.
I agree Haringey can't do it alone but it could start to champion thinking and acting outside the box a bit more so we are looking to the future and not just managing current levels.
