Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Two Days Left to Help Ensure the Wood Green Plans don't flood the Ladder with Traffic

The current plans for Wood Green will have a massive impact on Harringay. Amongst other things, they suggest that the Ladder will be sacrificed as a Wood Green traffic feeder route. (More on that here).

So only about 200 comments have been made on this consultation, I understand why - it's dull.

Given how this may impact on our areas, particularly as regards traffic, it's worth spending 5 minutes to add your views. Transport comments can be left in the "Wood Green Town Centre" section.

Haringey must have read this post. The consultation has today been extended until April 28th.

Thanks for posting the extension. I got the information late yesterday and was just about to post it!

I will be putting in a response about the plans including the impact on traffic on Wightman Road, impact on our ward and also on the wider proposals regarding the area. Gina an I went to a meeting about the plans to demolish peoples' homes on Mayes, Coburg and Caxton Roads. Really well attended, with residents very well informed and armed with clear arguments. They were great.  Like all such plans the red lines being drawn around areas and neighbourhoods must impact on ability to sell homes or borrow money against them since the publicly announced intention is to demolish.  This blights an area.

The AAP provides the planning framework for all other plans. It is It is inconceivable to think that the HDV and these plans for Wood Green are not connected as has been stated. . The proposals for the HDV  include the transfer of River Park House, the CIvic Centre and the Wood Green Library into the HDV in the first phase of the joint venture.

I'm probably being dense, but which pages are relevant to the above issue?

It's in my original post, Nick.
