Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Don't know if this has already been posted, but a quick peak on TFL's website says green lanes will be part of a low emission bus zone. This means we get the new electric buses. Should help to get the harringay soot out of your lungs.

Good spot Casper! Also notice that Seven Sisters Road is part of the scheme so the roads to the south and east of the park should have lower pollution levels as they are both busy bus routes.
Isn't the 141 electric already? When it stops the engine seems to turn right off.
I think they might be hybrid buses

Sorry to lower expectations, but this does not mean that we will get all new electric-only buses in the zone. We likely won't get the low emission zone much before 2020, either - the first such zone in Putney hasn't happened yet. What we will get is some hybrid buses, as now. Diesel-only buses in the zone will have engines meeting the latest Euro 6 standard for emissions (please don't yell Brexit at me!). This is information presented by TfL at the recent Transport Forum.

As for what we currently have on Green Lanes, all the 29s are hybrid, so yes, stop-start engine and electric motor boost when starting off. Two-thirds of the 141s are. None of the 341s are. None of the diesel 141s and 341s are Euro 6 compliant.
