Yes, you are right.
To be even fairer that picture was taken during the post-Christmas 2014 meltdown when Kings Cross main line station was closed when it should have been open. It's not of normal rush-hour levels of queuing.
Another slap for the Gazette, on top of their headline saying "forever" when the copy below says "closing for three years".
The tube isn't closing! One of the entrances is, but there will be a better one.
FPR - I think you are being rather melodramatic. I agree with you that if the UK does leave the EU, economic prospects for the country will be much worse than if we had stayed. This will hit tax revenues, and unless government makes greater investment in infrastructure, the result (here in London) will be greater congestion. However, the notion that people will stop using the tube is nonsense. There is no real alternative for most people to using the tube. As for "a few skinheads" and "the eighties" - I was regularly using the tube throughout the eighties (I was working in London, but for the first few years commuted by train to Paddington), and I can assure you that a similar range of people used the service, and it was usually very busy.
