Hi Paul, I bought ours at the Ally Pally garden centre.  They deliver for a nominal fee also, if that's helpful.

Have you ever tried Crews Hill after Enfield. Its 15 minutes on the train and there are several garden centres there as well as a business that makes trellissing and other wooden garden items in varying sizes.
For plants some of the outlets have standard commercial prices, others have wholesale prices but you can also get ornamental and fruit trees too!

Wilko in Wood Green Shopping City. Usually half the price of Homebase or garden centres for most things.
