Did they include rubbish removal in the quote? Do you have anything in writing?
If not, you are responsible for it and you should arrange to have it removed legally. Whoever picks it up from you should provide you with a waste transfer note.
If rubbish removal was included then report them to the council.
If it is stone someone can productively use then post it up here to see if someone will take it for their own use.
If not, do not be shy in asking the council to come take it. The council run a large item waste removal service. http://www.haringey.gov.uk/environment-and-transport/refuse-and-rec... Some items are taken free, some there is a £17 charge. Good luck
Take a picture and post them up on here. Surely if they are good paving stones you'll get a taker. And I assume taht they are because you and your neighbour had them installed, no?
Julian, I am Irish and a constant Traveller. I've never made a habit of dumping stones on the sidewalk - or even on the boardwalk, footpath, footway or pavement. I promise you, if you speak nicely to me and try to keep your prejudices well hidden, I won't bite or knock your head off.
JMC Paving Ltd of 483 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, N13 4BS seem to be quite readily accessible, also by landline, mobile, fax and email.
I am glad to see you no longer make any necessary connection between "Irish travellers" and your imagination that "they seek revenge". That's another lesson you may have learnt.
