I saw this from a 29 bus yesterday. It looked like it was not ready for open yet. If this will become what I expect to become of, which is a store to sell organic groceries, it would be a good news.
Was literally about to post the same thing!
Haven't seen anyone in there until this week, when they seemed to start work on the fit-out. I'm guessing it might be owned by the same people who run the supermarket next door, as (I think?) the off-license that used to be there was part of the same outfit. Or possibly they've sold the whole thing off - there was also the old cafe Manhattan on the corner which is now part of the new shop front.
Anyway, looks potentially interesting, and I'm keeping fingers crossed for a cafe element. Could us East-Enders soon be able to get our posh coffees BEFORE getting on the tube?
CC did start stocking a lot of organic produce recently, and they've also had a face lift. I think that was what made the loose connection in my mind. But will ask next time I'm in...
Pav - It is ready for you now. I dropped in for a look and spent £12 on a good but small range of locally produced beers, a coffee (there is a mezzanine level of seating now with wifi coming soon) and a couple of other organic snacks. Fresh Food in Manor House. someone read my mind.
It's a cute layout isn't it? I took my laptop there yesterday and was impressed by what a cosy place to work it was. They don't have wifi yet, but I gather this is coming.
Nice selection of beers, too!
Nice place. Have shopped there a few times. Proper organic shop with good range of produce and nice dinky cafe upstairs. View of Seven Sisters Road/ Green Lanes junction not exactly idyllic from cafe but hey, you can always turn you chair back to face the window
