Harringay's food diversification continues. Whilst the future of the Vietnamese seems to hang in the balance, work is well under way on Harringay's first Indian restaurant in a couple of decades and over the weekend I learned that we'll be getting a fish and chips shop soon.
The owner of Rakkas just opposite McDonalds has acquired the neighbouring two premises (polish deli and hairdresser as was) and is fitting them out for a fish and chips restaurant.
More as I learn more.

The owner says it should be up and running around the end of April.
There is, of course, a George's on St Ann's Rd opposite the Salisbury.
George's is one of the best fish'n'chip shops in town!
Dynamic obsolescence, or Hair today gone tomorrow. The shelf life of all Harringay's exciting new establishments seems to be little more than a wet weekend. Vive la transience.
That was a wonderful music shop!
I know a Swiss record shop that used to import records and CDs from there, and I came across some CDs bought there in the now defunct Tower records store in Piccadilly Circus.
Still mourning the loss of that Polish deli - they did the BEST cheesecake
