MOT Garage Wanted

Hi,

I've just inherited a car from my father, my first in 13 years, and it's MOT is up at the end of February. I'm looking for recommendations on a reliable local firm, near to the Ladder, that will be able to deal with a old 1997 BMW 5 series and investigate a couple of niggles that I want looking at.

Any ideas ?

I've got an old BMW and use Terry's Garage on Seven Sisters Road, honest guy would recommend him & he is also a member of the good garage scheme.

And you can get it MOT'd up to a month before the due date and still preserve the ultimate expiry day/month,

i.e. MOT expires 28/02/15, say. MOT it on Wed 28/01/15, say and (if it passes) the certificate will be valid till 28/02/16.

OK! Best to take the current certificate with you, it's all supposed to be on a big database in the sky these days, but the paperwork will prove to them the correct date.

I would also recommend Mario, he is fantastic. He's looked after our car for 3 or 4 years now after he was recommended to us by a local friend.

If you just want a MOT rather than MOT and service, I've been to the MOT garage at the beginning of St Anne's Rd, opposite Georges Fish and Chips. Actually I think this is where Mario will take your car to be MOT'd if you use him.

I also wholeheartedly recommend Mario. He is lovely and very honest as well as thorough. He has looked after my cars for over 20 years.

He will indeed take your car to the MOT place on St Ann's - but they know him well there and he will negotiate with them about what really needs doing. Mario will do the necessary work and you get your certificate on that day with minimal fuss and charging.
