Starting locally, you might strike lucky in Harringay Sainsburys, if not there's WH Smith in Wood Green Shopping City.
If you'd like to keep it local(ish), how about Les Aldrich Music, in Muswell Hill (98 Fortis Green Rd, tel 020 8883 5631). Mostly classical and jazz.
Re HMV. It's now next to Bond Street station: the other, bigger one near the M&S Pantheon branch went about a year ago. There's a decent size WH Smith on Oxford St, in the Plaza mini-shopping centre, again near that M&S Pantheon branch between Oxford Circus and Centre Point (yes you very probably know all this!). Or, you could try Harold Moore Records, at 2 Great Marlborough Street (the Soho end, not the Regent St end) which is the last 'proper' classical record shop in Central London, say I.

Harold Moore Records have a website and you can phone them and check they have what you want.
I'm a very occasional customer as I can rarely afford full price records. But I appreciate their wide selection of second-hand stock. I've found the staff there friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Wood Green Smiths don't do CDs or DVDs any more

http://direct.asda.com/Love-In-Venice---Andre-Rieu---CD-DVD/0037588...I'd never heard of Andre Rieu but on googling him saw that his latest release is being sold at Asda, although the link (above) is for online you can see that they have it in store and you can reserve and collect it from the store as it is short of time. There is an Asda in Tottenham, see link above, not sure if there is a more local one to you.

The nearest Asda to Harringay is in Stamford Hill but is a tiddler, so is unlikely to have CDs but it does do 'Click and Collect' according to their website. The Asda Living store in the Tottenham Retail Park may also be useful.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I was able to buy not one but TWO (lucky dad!) Andre Rieu CDs from the Asda Living Store on Tottenham Hale retail park. (I wouldn't recommend rushing their right now to buy your own copies, the traffic around there is awful at the moment). Thanks again for helping make my dad very happy this Christmas :)
