Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

DIY doesn't get more Punk than dismantling a wooden pellet in the kitchen,
You will need a Jack saw, a broom, preferably a crowbar not a chisel, a recent tetanus shot, a claw hammer and 45 minutes you will never get back!
They don't come appart as easy as you might think, (when the grand plan is a planter & you want as many sections in tact as possible.)

Expect saw dust, rusty nails and 20% of kindling.

Gotta be an easier way.

Seeing the treatment they get when used for their proper purpose, are you so surprised they're soundly built??

PS  You need industrial gloves too.

Quite a few are being dumped in Harringay, sadly supply outstrips demand or resupply, but have just noticed Abbey Services Pallets collect used pallets: 02088842600 Edmonton, anyone know of them?

If you have any left that you don't want pass them our way. We (Alan) made a compost bin with them and needs more to make the lid.

Hi Lauren

Please let Alan know I am still holding a couple for him, get him to give me a bell he has my number.

Yep, creat a link, and I'll contact you.

Only you could break a pallet in your kitchen Matt...

Does Helen know of this (mis)adventure?

You need to meet my mate Mark who has done up much of his flat with the aid of recovered pallets - a breakfast bar is his finest achievement.

Now for a real challenge check out what Henzel and Hunt do: http://hendzelandhunt.com/

I gotta be more ambitious, I'm humbled...

Yep!

I found out you can get £5 for a heavy pallet, &2 for a light, could be a money raiser for a local cause.
I nominate the £500 needed for a UV filtration unit for Mattison Rd pool, better for asthmatics and children with sensitive skin.
Not Crate weather today!
