Don't Blame the Council, it's China's Fault

You may have noticed a certain lack of progress with finishing the works on Green Lanes. Well, this time round we can't look to blame thee Council or TfL. Apparently, we're waiting for a shipment of granite to arrive from China and it's being repeatedly delayed.

Ruth, I used the phrase "lots of bodies and bicycles nicely mangled" in the hope that nobody else would ever forget it. It's the banality of death and bicycles I was getting at, not testing your sense of humour. I'm not even sure Beijing paviours used Chinese granite back then: maybe they found imported York sandstone suited the Square better than the local article.

But if you let us know where else in the world your presence coincided with atrocity, I'll tread more softly on your nightmares in future. I'm not deliberately trying to be ruthless.

I'm leading a quiet life now OAE here in Harringay….. just the occasional spat here on HoL about UKIP and rubbish, litter and pavements now and then so you should be ok.

Carry on being your critical self please about the daft /unfair things that happen here. We're still allowed that, to be critical, and I do fully uphold our freedom of speech, it's something positive.
