Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Been having a clear out, chucked out no longer viable (or listenable!) cassettes (remember them?) and wondered if I can recycle the little cases. Will they be ok in the normal recycle bin, does anyone know?

Cheers.

I THINK they're polystyrene, and if so, not so.

But I can't immediately find a reference on the Haringey website recycling pages, beyond the statement that "hard plastics", which they are, cannot be recycled.

Sorry to leave a smoking gun.....

I sort of thought that from previously wanting to recycle them. Shame that the cassettes themselves and probably the cases all have to go to landfill. I try to avoid sending stuff that way if possible.

Thanks for reply anyway Gordon!

Hi, I have just moved to Barnet and know for certain that the Barnet recycling centre takes cassette tapes and cases... The Haringey equivalent might also.

Thanks for that tip! I've already chucked them now sorry to say. Next time I have a clear out, I will try this.
