Hi Emine!

During a chat I once had with the local police I learned that it was policy not to police your own back yard - maybe that's why so few live in the borough?

It might be good for us if the east policed the west and vice versa, so maybe that is a policy to consider?

And there may even be 62 living in the borough but apart from ONE they're not the same people. This is a nonsense idea that a bunch of people in a room came up with apropos of anything else constructive because they thought it would be politically good for them. You can't actually put forward any proposals that would really benefit the borough because they'd involve redistribution which your electorate is dead against. Strangely the Labour group's electorate would be all for it but they're not doing it either.

I think that this is an interesting idea Clive but to work wouldn't it have to be a national scheme for the reasons others have outlined (you live in one borough but do the work mostly in another)? I also agree that others would need to be looked at too. As someone else mentioned, some people voluntarily do work with gangs that hugely benefits communities and missing out people like this might feel like a real slap in the face.
