Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Mr Cat and Mr Heron in territorial rivalry

In my garden there stands the tall clipped trunk of a lime tree:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Saturday, Mr Heron alighted on the top and surveyed the scene from this vantage point 20 feet above the ground:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then he saw something suspicious:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This cat is a frequent visitor and often appears to be a little crazy.  Up he goes but has he noticed that Mr Heron has flown?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He stares at the heron staring back from a neighbour's tree. 

 

Cat descends (with some difficulty) and sets out along the fence to investigate the neighbour's tree:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Five minutes later, Mr Heron is back where he started, unruffled and clearly in possession.

Any good illustrators out there? This story would make a wonderful children's book (well, I'd buy it!)
