I can't recommend them as such, because I haven't used them, but there's a company called Town & Country Paving currently doing something similar to this at a house on the corner of Pemberton and Wightman (the one with the perpetually blown down fences - until now!).  Over the weekend they built what looks like a lovely wall (to my untrained eye) and now they seem to be doing something like what you need to the front garden.  Might be worth going to have a look/a chat with them if you have a moment.

Remember as little impermeable paving over of front and back gardens as possible to reduce direct run off and help reduce the flooding.
