After it was discovered at the St Ann's Labour Party selection candidate selection meeting that there were people present and voting who should not have been, I came home from the pub (where I'd heard about it) and wrote this article. It has subsequently been edited by site admins to remove the names of people who were embarrassed or in the final case where a journalist said it was potentially libellous. Well here I will attempt to summarise what we have subsequently found out and hopefully take people's attention away from my original appalling rant.

I call on the St Anns Labour Party to release the selection meeting attendance lists.
Investigate properly, effectively. You have an opportunity to reearn respect of the St Anns community.
Pass this by at your peril.
Sadly when the Secretary of the Tottenham Labour Party asked all wards based in their constituency for their attendance records and ballots Steve Hart advised the St Ann's Ward Secretary not to release them. These are the only records in the constituency outstanding and they are obviously evidence of pretty serious wrong doing. I can only assume from Steve Hart's advice that he knows this.
Release the attendance list and exonerate yourselves or
hold on to them and the black cloud cast over your local and national party.
This issue has far reaching implications for the Labour Party now and in years to come. It is not going to go away.
A call for decency here. Take heed from your leader, "stand up for decency in British Politics" .
The @MPSHaringey Twitter account took an interest in this today and said that they are speaking to a senior Labour Councillor (yes I slapped my forehead) about whether or not they should be investigating. I'd been hassling them for a few days but once I started asking about Nilgun Canver's case I got a few retweets (they have ten times as many followers as me).
John, if you are indeed unhappy with the situation at the moment, then I suggest that you put more of your energy in getting yourself and two fellow St Ann's residents and go to Green Lanes to campaign openly on an anti-corruption ticket from now to election day, and put forward a plan of positive change that you want for the ward. Trying to get the Labour party to reveal any info about this is like asking them to extract blood from a stone.
Don't you think I have been doing that Neville? Anyway, it looks like the LibDems are rubbing their hands with glee. Hilarious, Brian Haley will be back on the council in Haringey! In fact, that is worth a tenner at Metrobet.
He managed to find four Labour councillors who lived on Warwick Gardens and gated their road with an expensive rising bollard. He is awesome. I want him for Harringay ward.
How dare you Alan Stanton. First of all, YOU are a ward councillor for Tottenham Hale NOT St Anns Ward though your partner is one of the St Anns Ward councillors. I have had dealings with Brian Haley over the years and found him to be competent, attentive and a good listener. The PROBLEM (singular) was one jealous councillor who hated his popularity among residents and started arguments with him at every possible opportunity to the point where they both had to be kept apart in the office. That councillor had her own agenda, something which St Anns Ward still suffers from and can well do without. Get some facts Allan and then make the comment you have made based on all the evidence you have. I look forward to one of your long winded postings.
When we complained to Brian Haley about the refuse collection he went out with the crew on more than one occasion to see what the problems were. Matters improved after that. Dumping was also a problem which was dealt with by Brian Haley, the SNT and the community. Notice a unity here that is sadly missing? I notice you do not deal with the other part of my posting; too hot for you to address? Perhaps you know the truth of it and find it an unpalatable truth. As for David Browne he lives in a glass house as far as residents in South Grove are concerned and he owes them an apology for promising his support then walking away, something Brian Haley NEVER did.
Is if possible to take this conversation onto a different topic please?
You're quite right. Sorry. My two postings deleted.
I have emailed Brian Haley asking him to comment on this piece as I am aware that he is telling people offline that this is a load of nonsense (so is Nora Mulready). As a libdem who may very well run in St Ann's it is in his interest to have three tainted Labour candidates to run against.
If you hear from anyone that this is a load of rubbish and I don't know what I am talking about, ask them to comment on here. A substantial piece of evidence is being withheld by the London Regional Labour Party (Alan Olive) because he believes it would ask more questions than it answers.
