Thanks Zena.  If the council is going to allow more concerts and events in the park (as they plan to do) then it is vital that these very basic arrangements are sorted out in advance and well catered for otherwise we will have week after week in the summer with park being left in this state!

Of course it's to be applauded if the Council are monitoring whether their conditions are being met, but given that they had every reason to be aware that there may well be an issue with the provision of toilets before the concert even ran, I'm interested to know why we're even having to discuss this.

If I were the responsible person in the Council, I'd have calculated the likely amount of toilets needed, had a look at what provision the promoter was offering and demanded that any shortfall was addressed BEFORE the concert ran. I wonder if the Council did this?

I've had a reply from the Council officer who tells me The Art Hut lost their water supply on Thursday. The Parks team has been informed and it is being dealt with.  If you have any further information please let me know so I can follow up if necessary.

Just so it's not us men who get the blame for all the urination, there was a healthy stream of women weeing up the fence too. Thankfully saw no one doing a number two!
