For the last 2 or 3 weeks, we have had the pleasure of a male peregrine falcon on Ally Pally. It has been seen on several occasions, the last being today. It really is worth taking a look. Here is one picture that I took today.
I enclose links to some other pictures taken today....

And another update just in....
This male peregrine is the sole offspring from last year of the breeding pair on the Tate Modern.
You seem to know your birds - do you know what this is, seen on the Lea in the snow? - also the next slide. He seemed lost, was calling in all directions.
That is an Egyptian Goose. http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/e/egyptiangoose/inde...
Thanks. A handsome beast. He is ringed so has a home somewhere. He seemed very lost, all the common geese were ignoring him. Perhaps I'm anthropomorphising.
"Gus" (after the gusty conditions on the day of his birth) was fledged on 6th June last year.
Or is it Bradley....? ;)
are there any potential girlfriends for Gus in London?
What I've been told is that Gus was the first name he was given then the RSPB later asked the public who voted for Bradley (after Wiggins). Alex has now been suggested... It's a bit fluid as there is no official naming process apparently.
