Weather
Harringay Passage
In the past the Passage has ended up slippery as settled snow is trampled upon and overnight temperatures turn that into ice. With the above weather conditions this may happen again, as in 2010 ('Help clear the passage')
Local councillor David Schmitz doing his bit for the volunteer ice clearance of 2010.

Hornsey School for Girls confirms via Twitter that they are closed on Monday 21st to all pupils apart from those in post 16 and Y11 taking exams this week. Y11 and P16 students attending school tomorrow for exams/revision in the morning only. Normal uniform and wrap up warm.
UPDATE: "Y11 students will not be required to attend school in uniform tomorrow, please wrap up warm :)"
South Harringay Infants want to open tomorrow but have asked parents to check for text message or website tomorrow morning (msg via text this evening)
Thanks Liz, looks like my daughter isn't going to school tomorrow then - she's happy!
Highgate Wood also closed tomorrow as it's a very steep sloping site which becomes treacherous with ice. My son is also very pleased! They are open for anyone sitting post-16 exams, though.
I'm not sure what other people think of this slightly left field comment but, snow is definitely for children. Work stops, school stops, traffic slows down, everywhere is slippery or crunchy, you need to dress up, there are free things to do everywhere, everything looks beautiful and adults are always smiling when you make eye contact.
You're welcome Sam. Very hard bird to photograph as they're forever on the move!
Not when this one was gorging itself on the aphids that seem to live in my bamboo no matter what time of year.
I watched a guy going down the slope with his kid take out a woman who was giddily and stupidly standing halfway down with her back to them. All went down in a heap as if the funniest thing in the world had happend and it must have hurt.
