Empty jars for pickles and jams
I have around half a dozen at least empty clean jars. I usually offer them here and someone collects for jams etc. Saves going into the recycle bin.

I think I'll have some (or lots) after the Christmas period, can save them instead of chucking them into recycling.

hi Ana, it's a good idea to save them rather than just chuck in the recycle bin. I always find someone on HoL who wants jars, almost immediately! There are so many ways we can recycle rather than just those green bins outside our doors. Have a nice Xmas

Ana. Save them, don't chuck them. I have loads and often share with friends who don't keep hold of them during the year, and come Jam/Chuntey season need then.
Let me know when you are ready and I will happily come get them.

this is good- we have a small jar recycling network! I have also in the past donated jars to the local WI as well as one or two individuals.

Ruth. Obviously feel free to give them who you please if you have others that want them, but if you are ever left with any you cannot find a home for I will act as a back stop. Happy to store them until it is clear there is some demand for them in the summer/ autumn. It is the Womble in me, I cannot stand to let anything go to waste.

So, got keeping jars instead of putting them in the recycling box and earlier than expected, ran out of storage space.
Whoever is interested in jars please get in touch before other flat occupants take into their own hands the issue of storage space ;) by sending some email address by private message so we can arrange collection.
