Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Ducketts Common & Veolia clean sweep - Everyone is welcome!
Ducketts Common has won a competition for a Clean Sweep from the cleaning contractor Veolia. They are arranging a general tidy up of the Common which starts at 10am on Tuesday 5 June, followed by a Diamond Jubilee party at The Big Green Bookshop off Wood Green High Street.
It would be great if as many of you as are able join us for what should be a fun event, which will enable you (if you are so minded) to celebrate the Queen having been around for ages at the same time as helping the local park and meeting some of your neighbours.

Ducketts Common and Veolia got together today (05/06/2012) for a big clean.
I would just like to say what a brilliant job Haringey Council regularly do keeping a very busy common clean ... but it's nice to have an extra pair of hands (or several) now and then, to help out.
Also great to see so many smiling faces down on at 'DC' this morning and everyone just getting stuck in. There was advice on recycling and free sunflower plants for anyone passing by.
The morning was finished off with a party/buffet ... kindly hosted by our friends at the Big Green Book Store.
A big thankyou to everyone who attended.

I was wondering that too. Walking by on Monday a large section of it was down and there was still the front part of a car on the footpath. Must have been some collision.
