Fly tipping sends me into orbit, everyone knows that but maybe we can send gentle reminders to our neighbours with a bit of humour when we find their junk lying around.

All very well but if the council actually advertised that they had a collection service and charged less for single items or collected for free then just maybe a few more people would make the quick call and stop dumping or leaving so much rubbish in their front gardens. I never really got why they started charging for it. They don't want you to have a car but you can drive your rubbish to the dump and get rid of it for free yet you have to pay for it to be collected if you dont have a car. So they rely on the responsible residents who have a credit card to pay for the rest who are happily dumping in front of other peoples homes because they dont know about the service, dont have a credit card or simply cant be bothered.
