Hi Fran and others - I would be interested in the book club. However, all those involved so far seem to be women; so I have to ask if you accept men? I'm retired, married, and in my seventies. My wife is an author, first published 1980, with about 30 or more novels published. We know a lot of other authors, journalists, etc, and people at the major publishers in London and New York. My wife has been a friend, since 1976, with an author who is very well-known who appeared on the cover of Time magazine; and she knew Stephen King when he was at the beginning of his career. So I hope I'd have something to offer. Needless to say, I'm quite widely read. We have more books than we have shelf space for! Anyway, let me know. I fully understand if you want the book club to be for women-only, and as a safe space, so to say.

I would really like to join a book club with men and women. It makes for more interesting discussion to have a wider group. I don't have time to read as much as I would like but I think being part of a book club would encourage me to read more
