Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Where are the Harringay Greens? Does HoL skew too old and right for them?
Rosie Latchford, Marc Jenner and Jo Kuper, where are you?
I thought that even by mistake you'd have stumbled across this site. The goal is wide open in Harringay ward. The incumbents are in the mud.

As long as you've had a life outside of politics, you're not currently biding time working in David Lammy's office (we see you Olly), or backing a 'Greater Israel' project, you'll get some guaranteed votes here.

They don't need to. The votes won't be for the Greens. They will be against Labour. The less said by the Greens the better for them. However, in Harringay ward, I expect that the votes will go to the Lib Dems. They are quite benign at the local level despite their luxury beliefs.

You know very well that the Labour Party is full of supporters of Israel and its endeavours. Why wouldn't that include some of the Labour councillors and candidates in Haringey? Should we expect some clarity on this from the Harringay candidates?

So many people tell me what I know and what I think. Even more annoying, they claim I know these things "very well". Worse still, they don't bother to listen to what I say or even read what I write.
Why aren't you explaining your reference above to my question about the 'Greater Israel' Project?

In my understanding, That project is further military madness by Israel. A delusion by the Israeli Government about killing or displacing thousands of residents of adjacent states including murder of families with children In Lebanon. Possibly in Syria; and on the Palestinian West Bank. And part of Egypt. And extending more killings in Gaza.
Have I got that roughly right? Or is it even higher mountain of war crimes?
And all backed you seem to believe, by "some of the Labour Party Members".

Such silly games, Alan. Save the weasel words, weak attempts at pedantry, the inaccurate quotations, the evasion and dissembling for a more appreciative audience. Yes, Alan, the Labour Party has been complicit in Israel's ongoing atrocities. The leader, the deputy leader, the foreign secretary, etc etc. Worse though, they have drawn the entire nation into their appeasement. If local representatives of the Labour Party are silent on the matter, they are complicit and should be nowhere near public office. It's really very simple. Even Mr. Polanski can wrap his head around it. That you can't is telling.

I should not use words and phrases like military madness by Israel. Nor killing and displacing thousands. Nor murder of families and children. In Lebanon. Syria; and on the Palestinian West Bank. And killings in Gaza.
Nor the terms war crimes and genocide.
Plainly I should not have read and recommended books and videos by genocide scholars.
Nor historians and journalists who wrote coruscating critiques of Israel.And When I was still able to attend protest marches I should have stayed at home.
I should have kept completely still and silent.
So you were able to point accurately to my silence.

The GREENS are here Jamie and very active in all Haringey wards. I'm sure Roise, Marc and Jo can post something on here.
I am running as Stroud green with Bethany and Eddy. The competition is between the Greens and Labour realistically. Predictive polls point to this.

Thanks, as I said The Green Party 100% oppose the genocide in Gaza, we are anti occupation by Israel - it's apartheid, support BDS and we back recognising Palestine as a state and advocate for their own self determination on a solution...

Hi Jamie, Marc here 👋 All three of us have been following Harringay Online regularly and have found it useful to find out about the local issues that matter the most to residents.
Myself, Jo and Rosie are all local residents, who are fed up with the failures of the Labour council and their 55 years in power. It’s a tight race between the Greens and Labour in Harringay, and we have a real shot at winning here.
I’m a receptionist and filmmaker, with a background in campaigning with Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Rosie is an organiser for climate and social justice and Jo has decades of experience in grassroots activism, from Greenpeace to Doctors Without Borders.
We’ve been working hard, speaking to residents about their issues, and helping find solutions. We’ve cleaned the Harringay Passage and local parks, assisted with housing issues, and have been campaigning for lower pollution levels, better support for renters, and proper consultation on Finsbury Park events contacts.
We love Harringay and would to represent you as your local councillors.
