Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hampden Road parking enforcement spreading to Haringey Council section

At the end of last year Network Rial finally began enforcing parking on their end of Hampden Road (from the New River bridge to the railway). This still left the section of the road between Wightman and the bridge as an apparent parking free-for-all. From next week, the Council are finally following Network Rial and dealing with the issue,

One wonders if the new restrictions will be enforced when the Civil Enforcement Officers have, for years, been ignoring vehicles parked on the double yellow lines.

Adam was told for years that Haringey wasn’t responsible for any of the road north of Wightman. Now, that issue seems to have been resolved and the council have taken ownership. I’m sure the enforcement officers will be as keen to issue tickets there now as they are anywhere else.

Not only Adam!

But we have got there after long last. I have been pursuing this for a very long time, along with Adam. Govia need to be able to move their vehicles, and they had to get things moving.  I met with the officers to work out how to balance the various interests and meet different needs - this is a very fair result. We  met with the Mosque to discuss the plans and this was also very positive.
