Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Pan Asian - Thai, Viet, Chinese etc

I tried the laksa and springers. Both quite nice, fresh and tasty. Pretty cheap too.

They also have vegan, vegetarian options for those who swing that way.

Do you know what happened to the W. Andrews shop sign?

Its still there - nicely gilded! Hope it stays up

Well done, Hochima.

It’s not new,  just renamed from big bowl noodle to Hochima,  run by the same Family.  Great food always!

Really top food indeed!

I love the fact that they've uncovered the original W. Andrews sign, but I also loved their old name Big Bowl Noodle.
I didn't try them before they changed to Hochima, & so far only with their limited menu during lockdown, but found their food mixed in quality, & a bit pricey for some dishes. Friends of mine rave about them though.
Starters were pretty good, as were the rice dishes, although I couldn't really tell the difference between the meat & vegetarian dumplings, but one noodle dish was very poor for £10: really dry & with hardly any pieces of meat or veg. I ended up with one very small meal from that, & used the left over noodles for 2 other meals - stir fries with my own veg/meat & sauce. That dish really did live up to their old name! Maybe they were short on supplies at that time, but even so, I'd not risk my reputation with such meagre offerings. I'dprobably go again, & eat in if with friends, but avoid the noodles.

Yes, it's a good place. The guy who runs it, Stephen (?), is very nice and used to do the Big Bowl Noodle there.
