Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

need internal fire doors supplied and fitted - looking for recommendations

Hi folks,

I live on Fairfax Road. We're planning to replace the existing (old) internal doors with fire doors.

We'd prefer doors that are fairly in-keeping with the current period style of the property (some fire doors look very 'modern' and don't suit period properties so well).

Ideally we're looking for a company / tradesperson who can do an all-in-one job: recommend, supply and fit the fire doors.

Any recommendations? Has anyone else done similar?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan, if you have original doors which you like, you could use intumescent paint to fire rate them. I do architectural design and it these paints usually satisfy building control where a 1/2 hour fire rating is required. Could also save you quite a lot of money. https://www.rawlinspaints.com/fire-retardant-paints?gclid=Cj0KCQjw-...

I looked at this but ended up keeping the doors and installing additional smoke alarms instead.
