Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Haringey and Veolia have released a statement explaining coronavirus is causing delays to bin collections.

They say that both that staff absences and increased dumping caused by the pandemic has led to the disruption.

The council advises

You may, as a result, experience some disruption or delay to our collections but we will keep these to a minimum.

If your household waste, recycling or garden waste isn’t collected on the usual day, bear with us as we will aim to collect within 48-72 hours. We may be running slightly behind so there is no need to report it.

Ironically, if you are on a council run estate, we asked for two collections a week and we are getting them

the bins still overflow on a regular basis

Despite my many woes with the Council, I sympathise with them about this.
