Walking down Green Lanes late this afternoon, we went into the new Turkish store we'd noticed previously.
The genial owner Savaş (Savash) has picked a tough time to open a new store, but he offers an enticing array of dried, fruit, nuts and other Turkish goodies. So all the best of luck to him.
What took our attention looking on the window was a rather delicious looking range of turkish delight that you can't get in the other shops on the Lanes.
We chose a few slices of the pistachio and a few of the almond and chocolate - very tasty - something I'd be happy to find on my table as an after dinner treat with coffee (or as a stocking filler).
The shop is on Grand Parade, just down form the Salisbury opposite the block between Seymour and Warham.
Apparently the website is still in development, but As of 18th Dec their website is up and running andyou can see more of their enticing range on their Facebook page.
(....and bfore the cynics amongst you wonder, no this isn't a paid promotion).

There was a clip I saw on social media recently featuring some B list celeb (or an A lister I don't know) who said that he has his hair cut three times a week. I guess if that's common practice, you'd need to number of barbers we now have in Harringay. Or, perhaps the state of the NHS means that some have returned to being barber-surgeons and they're providing a local way to shortcut the waiting lists!
